I finally got the GO to lift my dark haze, so I can now announce my new job position here at Victory Games, located within EA Los Angeles. What is my new job? You – the Command & Conquer Community – are my new dedicated full time job. Every actively involved community needs a strong voice at the studio to represent their opinions! And that will be the focus of my new job. I already know many of the hardcore leaders around the C&C world, but most of them don’t know me, so let me tell you a bit about myself.
Who am I?
My name is Eric, I am 23 years old and I live in Germany, well at least for now, because the sun and warmth of Los Angeles is already calling my name. I have been part of the C&C Community since the release of Generals in 2003. As the years passed by, I worked on different projects and community sites like CnC-Inside. It was in early 2007 when I started to see the community from another side – the EA side. The EA Community Team, which takes care of different EA franchises like Battlefield, Need for Speed and C&C for local European areas, asked me to join their team. I had some really great years collecting a lot of experience working with the community and contributing to projects like CommandCOM with our local Community Managers and APOC. Now, I find myself in the hot seat as your new global Community Manager for C&C, which is quite an honor for me.
You may wonder why this update is coming now, and not in time for the phase 2 MOTY voting.
Getting in the top 5 quite simply wasn’t one of our goals this year, so we decided to rather use some more time polishing the update, giving you a nice christmas present instead.
It’s Christmas time, and New Year’s Eve is upon us. Santa is a bit late this year due to unforseen trouble with a couple of SAM sites, but the allies still have their tree up and ready, awaiting his arrival.
And lo! There are several presents under it, and all of you will the share of christmas eye candy that you deserve for being such good and loyal comrades!
Tiberium Blossom Tree Version 2:
Note: Keep in mind this can be updated any time till we think its done.
New Tiberium Blossom Tree.
Steel Talons – Hover MRLS:
The New Steel Talons – Hover MRLS is much more advanced than the old one.
This one has 2 seats 1 for the pilot one for hunting down targets.
ZOCOM – Ambulance:
The brand new ZOCOM – Ambulance can heal 2 biological targets at once in a specific range,
Also this vechicle is unarmed so be sure you protect it in the battle.
Marked Of Kane – Buggy:
The Marked Of Kane – Buggy has the basic concept of the original buggy.
But this one uses a bulletproof windshield and high caliber gun mounted on the top.
Greetings, Scavengers,
It’s been a long time of silence. But you won’t believe it can be made up, do you? Of course, most of it was spent on real life issues, i.e., coffee, space exploration… and… shit… some studies combined with work too.
Some 6 weeks ago we finally got all together (rawr), exchanged some rude politeness (no, not that), and returned back to modding. The almighty team of 3.5 comrades re-started the engine of this freaking awesome stuff and moved the stick to high gear.
Recruiting… again
C&C Renovatio is looking for people. If you are talented, like kitties, like to rub em against tesla devices (okay, not really), walking on the beach, and of course are a space explorer, just come.

It is done! (At least a tiny little bit ^^)
The first version for the public is here. But remember: it is an alpha version and featuring just MpGameRules, ArmorTemplate and LogicCommand. It is not much yet but it can be updated easily. Also it might be crashing from time to time (even if it doesn’t for me anymore ^^). If it does please send me infos of what you have done where it crashed and maybe debug information if available.
Note: .net Framework 4.0 is required to use the SDK.
Also you might need to run the Launcher with elevated rights if you run Vista/7 and have installed KW in Program Files (The SDK itself asks for that rights per default).
A long time no news no information about EA or any new Command & Conquer Title.
Sadly EA did not announced Command & Conquer Title at there press converence. We hope they going to boot the C&C Series later on.
Our team doesnt have any intresting news ether because we’re trying to work more on the C&C:3 Tiberium Icestorm Mod & C&C Renovatio.
But for now we have Starcraft 2 for spending our time.
Our hero had to left by his destiny Goodbye and Farewell APOC!

My friends, my community, my 2nd family
I’ve been your C&C Community Manager for over 6 years, especially if you consider my days with the BFME franchise. I was brought in to EA as a contract marketing assistant on BFME1 back in February 2004, and soon found myself building the BFME community (I guess that was my destiny!). About 1 year in almost to the day, shortly after BFME1 shipped, the torch of being the official C&C CM was bestowed upon me by the dev team (from one great legendary Delphi), that was February 2005. And today, almost 6 years later, I sit here in front of my computer screen, still your official C&C Community Manager for one last moment, as honored and humbled as ever to have kept this role for so long. It’s become an extreme passion, a “second life”, and a place I know I can always find some of my closest friends. You guys have truly been my 2nd family, and you guys are the reason this C&C franchise has lived on for 15 years strong and will continue, Commander!
As cheesy as it may sound, I’m just a sentimental APOC if you never knew, and it may just come from how emotionally tied I have been to this community, it absolutely breaks my heart to tell you today, I will be stepping down as your C&C Community Manager and leaving EA after what has been one helluva rollercoaster ride. Today is my last official day here at EALA.
You need to know this was *not EA’s decision*, this was 100% my own. I was not laid off, not fired, not tortured by Kane (or Joe Kucan), not part of a reduction in force, and certainly not forced out or given motivational reasons to leave. In fact, my bosses and team all provided me reasons to stay with heartfelt content, while also understanding at this stage in my career and life, doing what is best for me and my family is ultimately the right path to choose.
I sincerely hope my decision does not impact negatively on you, or the C&C franchise. I have a replacement whom I’d like to introduce, Per “Goodman” Bonomi, he also manages the BF Heroes, Lord of Ultima and BattleForge communities with the help of his excellent Play4Free Community Team. He’ll be in touch and on the boards very soon. He is an extremely passionate C&C fan, and someone I know can keep the ship afloat in my absence, and especially at a time when the dev team is revamping the franchise. At this stage, what’s important to me is for you to have someone you can still connect with. Things are going to be slow for awhile, but I know we’ll be leveraging the community as much as possible until our dev team is ready to pull the curtains off the future, and well beyond.
I want nothing more than the best for this franchise, and I don’t want my absence to invoke anything negative in the community. It was a personal choice, a leap of faith, and one that was extremely difficult when considering all the factors, most notably, my community family.
I’ll be staying in the gaming industry in LA. You can find me on Facebook and in a few other places soon once I rise again!
I’m always long winded at saying goodbyes, just who I am. Thank you C&C Community for being true friends and giving me the passion and energy to be your C&C Community Manager for such an eternity! I hope this is not goodbye, but just an update on life, as one close friend would always give to another.
